THE PROMiSE is truly one of those things you simply must experience to believe -- it's church like you've never seen before. We welcome your questions of faith and your struggles with life -- we have them too!
We gather at 9:15 a.m. for Sunday School for All Ages and 10:29 a.m. for our Worship Experience. Worship is a time for us to experience God in a new and refreshing way. We enjoy music in a contemporary style that is a combination of hymns and praise songs. We have Bible-based sermons with modern learning media such as video clips and sermon notes. Holy Communion (The Lord's Supper) is celebrated monthly in Worship. We believe Christ's table is open to everyone so all are welcome to partake during Holy Communion.

Here's what our Promise Kids did in Our Church today... Our Bible story was from Genesis 13:1-12 Lot left home and traveled with Abraham, but the journey became difficult because both men had a large number of servants and animals. The two men solved the problems by deciding to go in different directions to settle. Abraham allowed Lot to choose his land first. Then Abraham went in the opposite direction To keep the faith conversation going this week... Here are a few questions you can talk with your child about this week… Why do you think Abraham allowed Lot to choose his land first? Has your family had to move as the family grew? Did a bigger place make it easier for your family to live together? Why was the land Abraham chose important to him and his family?
Here's what our Promise Kids did in Our Church today... Our Bible story was from Genesis 12:`1-9; 15:1-6 Abraham was a man of faith. He trusted God and followed God’s directions for him and his family. When God told Abraham to take his family and leave his home for an unknown destination, he did exactly what God said. God made a covenant with Abraham. It was a special promise that God gave to Abraham if he followed God’s directions. God recognized Abraham’s faith and his good character. Talk about the directions God gave to Abraham and what God promised Abraham. To keep the faith conversation going this week… Here are a few questions you can talk with your child about this week… How do you think Abraham’s family felt when he told them to pack up and go on a journey with him? How would you feel if you had to go on a journey, but you didn’t know where you were going? How did God’s promise change Abraham’s life? How would you describe Abraham’s faith and character? Why do you think God chose Abraham?
Here's what our Promise Kids did in Our Church today... Our Bible story was from Acts 6:1-7 The apostles needed more time to study and preach God’s Word, so they asked the people in the community to choose seven deacons to help take care of the people’s needs. The deacons needed to be wellrespected in the community, filled with the Holy Spirit, and wise. To keep the faith conversations going this week... Here are a few questions you can talk with your child about this week... What problem were they having that made the apostles ask for help? Do you know what the deacons in your church are responsible for? Have you been to a service where deacons were commissioned for service? What did the apostles do to set aside the deacons for service?

Here’s what our Promise Kids did in Our Church... Our Bible story was from Acts 4: 32-37 As followers were added to the church in Jerusalem, they formed a community of believers who were one in heart and mind. They shared everything they had, and they all had what they needed. The apostles continued to teach about Jesus’ resurrection, and the followers showed grace to each other. Even Barnabas sold a field he owned and brought the money to the apostles. The apostles were responsible for the money given and how it was used. To keep the faith conversations going this week... Here are a few questions you can talk with your child about this week... How does your church help people in need? What can you donate to the church or an organization in the area to help people in need? How do you feel when you help someone else? What things does your family share? How are the shared things divided? Who makes sure that everyone in your family has what he or she needs?

Here's what our Promise Kids did in Our Church today... Our Bible story was from Acts 11:19-30 Many of the followers of Jesus left Jerusalem and scattered to other cities. Some of them settled in the city of Antioch and began to proclaim the good news to Jews who spoke Greek. Barnabas was sent to help the Antioch church, and he found Saul and brought him to help also. The followers were first called Christians in Antioch. When a visiting prophet told about a coming famine, the Antioch church gathered food and sent their gift to support the followers in Judea. To keep the faith conversation going this week... Here are a few questions you can talk with your child about this week... What made Barnabas happy about the church of Antioch? Has your family or your church ever sent food or supplies to another country or church after a disaster? The name Christians was first used by people who didn’t follow Jesus and was meant to be something negative. Why do you think that has changed? Do followers today like being called Christians? How can your family help others who are in need?
